Dentsu to bring new Tetris-branded merchandise in home and lifestyle, apparel, and more to the Japanese market
March 15, 2016 — The Tetris Company, LLC and Dentsu Inc. (Tokyo: 4324; ISIN: JP3551520004; President & CEO: Tadashi Ishii; Head Office: Tokyo; Capital: 74,609.81 million yen) today announced an agreement in which Dentsu will serve as the merchandising and advertising agent for the Tetris® brand in Japan. Moving forward, Dentsu will pursue advertising, co-promotional, and licensing opportunities with Japanese companies that will create Tetris-inspired merchandise. This will bring a range of Tetris-branded home and lifestyle items, including party supplies, kitchenware, computer accessories, apparel and more, to retailers and e-tailers in Japan. Under the agreement, Dentsu will also be licensing the rights for pachinko and pachislot machines.
